SKI MECHANICS

I spent today at Mount Sunape testing the Volkl Mantra and Volkl RTM 84 on hard snow with some hard lumps left over from snow making. Both skis were fun and held well. The Mantra was a year old and tuned by Carl in our shop. The RTM 84 was brand new. With the Mantra I tended to ski slower with very well finished shorter radius turns. Fun. With the Volkl RTM 84 there was more energy, GS type carved turns were easier and I skied faster on them. I guess for how I ski I would pick the RTM 84. The best thing I could have done for more fun was to have brought a goggle with a yellow or clear lens. Dark mirrored lens may look cool but today was not the day for them.
